A Few things about me....
I need dead lines, they motivate me better than most anything.
I am a computer geek/dork by nature, with several MCP certificates in Microsoft 2000 server,CNA in Novell, and CompTia A+ and network as well. I an very interested in Cisco hardware and gaining knowledge in router security and layer three switching. I plan to gain a CCNP as soon as the company for whom I work as a network admin sends me to the proper training center. I'm currently trying to teach Cisco to myself as well by experimenting with a pile of 2600 series routers, a few 3500/24 switches and a PIX 515e UR that I have gathered up over the last 2 years or so. Seems the more I learn about this stuff, the less I know... I also have an IBM X series E-server and a Dell Poweredge 2650 that keep me busy. As you may be able to tell, I know very little of XML and Html and Im just trying to piece this site together using a few high end web authoring utilities that I have. Like my father I create projects to kill time, and make more work for myself.
Also: SWEAT PEA and NASCAR: in that exact order...
SWEAT PEA: To whom I owe a great deal. She makes me a better man and truly supports me, even when I do things like this, for 16 hours straight. She never complains, she never whines, she never asks for more. One of the best things that happened to me was being introduced to her, and I knew from that moment, we were meant to be. Thank you Sweat Pea for everything you are for me, you certainly make life far more pleasurable sweat pea!
NASCAR, Addiction or Fascination: Just before the departure of all the good drivers in the Champ Car/CART series to the idiots racing league, I have had to turn my interests away from the boys of open wheel racing. Enter NASCAR. I began fallowing Jeff Gordon in mid season of 1993 and noticed a driver much like my open wheel idol Paul Tracy. He was young, very young, like me and that combined with his never ending pursuit of glory and the win, sold me. I was going to be HIS fan. I watch guys like Earhardt and Elliot and they just seemed to be every bodies hero, and I'm not like that at all, I've always been the one to go against the grain. But now a days, looks like some others have followed in my foot steps while others have been there done that and moved on to a new driver. Jeff's My Guy! I'm hanging with him to the end. Aside from Number 24, I'm also pretty partial to 20, 8, 97, 88, 15, 29, 18 5 25, 48, 31(Burton, not Gordon) . But the guys I never want to see win anything are 40, 9, and 42.... No reason really, just don't like them much....More later...
